An autumn of music at Elder Blossom

A varied programme of strings, young soloists and jazz brings new reasons to spend an afternoon together.

An autumn of music at Elder Blossom

A shared reason to gather

Elder Blossom is the primary host venue for Hua Hin Events, whose published programme includes classical music, jazz, talks and youth concerts. For the period from 16 October to 30 November, the current listings contain six concerts. That gives listeners a choice of musical styles across several afternoons and early evenings, whether they enjoy returning to familiar repertoire or hearing something new.

For neighbours, friends and visiting family, a concert can also provide an easy plan around which to arrange a get-together. Choose the performance that interests you most, share the event page and agree your travel arrangements before booking.

Listening across borders

The string programmes offer a particularly clear thread through the season. Gypsy Journey pairs violin and viola in a programme ranging from Irish tunes and American bluegrass to music associated with Mexico and Eastern Europe. Its published programme includes an interval, allowing a pause between its two contrasting halves.

Roots and Migrations takes a different approach with Duo Baraldi, brothers Demian on violin and Dylan on cello. Their programme places Italian compositions alongside Chinese melodies and arrangements of King Rama IX’s Blue Day and Falling Rain. The appeal is in hearing how the same pair of instruments can give voice to different musical traditions. Both programmes invite curiosity without requiring listeners to know every work beforehand.

A place for emerging performers

Young & Talented Soloists of Thailand brings six emerging performers to Elder Blossom on violin, viola and piano. The published programme includes Bach, Rachmaninoff, Saint-Saëns and Sarasate, among other composers. Its variety makes this an opportunity to listen for the individual character of each instrument and performer.

The event description connects the concert with the spirit of the Chiangrai Youth Orchestra and its development from free violin lessons. For an audience, attending offers a direct way to take an interest in the next generation of musicians. The event page contains the programme and performer introductions for anyone who would like to read more before coming.

Two different ways into jazz

The Great American Songbook brings a vocalist and guitarist together with the Hua Hin Jazz Trio. Its focus is on songs presented in both vocal and instrumental form, with space for improvisation. Listeners who enjoy a melody they can follow may find this a welcoming starting point.

November’s Three Piano Summit offers another perspective. The programme is built around three pianists with contrasting musical backgrounds, supported by bass and drums, and includes solos, duets and three-piano arrangements. These evenings invite attention to the exchanges between players: a phrase introduced by one musician, then answered or changed by another.

Make the visit comfortable

The venue is at 476 Moo 1, Soi Porn Sawan, Hin Lek Fai, Hua Hin. The official directions page recommends arriving at least 30 minutes before the performance for parking and seating, and suggests smart casual dress. Check the start time of your chosen concert: the classical and youth performances in this period begin at 4.30 p.m., while the two jazz evenings begin at 5.30 p.m.

Registration is required. Follow the individual event link for the current booking details, and check the programme again before travelling. The event pages also explain that photography and filming take place; tell the team if you would prefer not to appear. For questions about your visit, contact Hua Hin Events on +66 87 293 9060.
